MODERN SLAVERY AND ETHICAL SOURCING POLICY

William Valentine Collection is committed to ensuring there is no modern slavery or human trafficking in any part of our business or supply chain.

William Valentine Collection Modern Slavery Statement reflects our promise to act ethically and with integrity in all our business relationships.

We have implemented and enforce effective systems and controls to ensure slavery and human trafficking are not occurring anywhere in our business or supply chain.

We have long-standing relationships with several carefully selected suppliers who we have grown and developed with over a number of years, these suppliers have shown their commitment by providing updated audits, documentation upon request and welcoming visits from our staff each year.

We are a member of SEDEX and monitor our supply base through an internal database, this has a grading system and enables us to rate factories on their audit standard and work with them to closely monitor and close any non-conformities in the timescales set by the third-party audit company.

When considering new suppliers, they are subject to an onboarding/due diligence process which includes, but is not limited to providing ethical audits, completion of our William Valentine Collection due diligence questionnaire as well as a visit by a member of William Valentine Collection Hong Kong team.

To date, we have not been made aware of any human trafficking or slavery activities within the supply chain. However, if any were highlighted to us, we would act immediately in accordance with our legal and moral obligations.

William Valentine Collection have systems in place to:

  • Identify and assess potential risk areas when considering new suppliers.
  • Regularly review our existing supply chains.
  • Mitigate the risk of slavery and human trafficking occurring in the supply chains.
  • Monitor potential risk areas in the supply chains.
  • Protect whistle blowers.

As a responsible business we are committed to the continual improvement of our systems and processes and strive to ensure modern slavery does not exist within our businesses and supply chain for product and services. William Valentine Collection is therefore committed to reviewing and updating this statement on an annual basis.
